Computer games challenge the mind in ways that we are just
beginning to understand. The logic puzzles in Rubik’s Games, Bejeweled, and
Adventure Games like Princess Isabella challenge students to extend their
problem-solving abilities in unique ways that are never encountered in more
traditional math textbooks. Kids like to think hard and grapple with problems
when they get the satisfaction of seeing a puzzle solved before their eyes, or
a story extended into new, unexplored regions. We take great care at JES to
make sure that the computer games that the children play are appropriate, and
do not convey violent themes.
