Recognition System

We believe that the best way to encourage students to meet our school-wide behavioral expectations is for us to “catch” students when they behave in positive ways.  Therefore, we have created a multi-level system of acknowledging student behavior through a variety of means, including public recognition, prizes, and extra privileges.  On our team, teachers award a stamp on a child’s travel folder for displaying any of the school wide expectations of respect, responsibility and/or safety.  When a student accumulates 8 stamps in the box they are issued a "paw”. Students can also earn automatic paws for exceeding expectations.Paws are the basis for raffle prizes, class and team rewards, as well as school-wide events.
