This will be my second year teaching 3rd grade at Johnson Elementary School. I am originally from New Hampshire and I graduated from Saint Michael’s College with majors in Mathematics and Elementary Education. When I am not at school, I love to spend my time riding and competing my horse, Coyote, in the sport of eventing.

There are a few important things to make note of for this school year:

1. Dismissal time is later than last year - now at 2:45!

2. Green Mountaineers have the last lunch of the day at 12:45. It is incredibly important that students eat breakfast and snack! Both meals will be provided in the classroom as they were last year, or students can bring snack from home. Please keep in mind that our classroom is peanut and tree nut free.

3. Music and PE are on Tuesday and Thursday (bring your sneakers!)

4. Library books are due on Wednesdays.

5. Progress reports will be sent home monthly this year. Each report will include information about 1 literacy skill, 1 math skill, and 1 behavior skill that we are currently working on. We hope that this helps families be more involved in their child's learning!

6. JES has partnered with the ECHO Lahey science center and will be part of a 2 year grant bringing STEM into elementary classrooms. We are one of only three schools in the state and our classroom will be working closely with the experts from ECHO. It is going to be very exciting!!
